Maricle left the home for about an hour, leaving the girl confined in the dark closet. She also left two other children - a 2-year-old and a 7-month-old - unsupervised in the home, police said."
"On Wednesday, officers were called to 25 Arthur Ave. in Cortland to check on the well-being of young children, according to a news release from the Cortland Police Department. She was charged with first-degree unlawful imprisonment (a felony), second-degree reckless endangerment and endangering the welfare of a child, police said. Maricle was taken to the Cortland County Jail and later posted bail. She is scheduled to appear at 10 a.m. Oct. 17 in the Cortland City Court."
