Pascal Jansen is optimistic about New York City's depth and ability to continue home success against Atlanta United. Despite their recent struggles, the team can enter playoff contention with a win. Jansen asserts that even in the absence of key players due to international duty, the roster maintains strength. Conversely, Atlanta United, sitting lower in the standings, is focused on defensive improvements after a brief winning streak ended in a loss to the Red Bulls. Both teams are looking to capitalize on their respective strengths for upcoming match success.
"We have a roster where we believe we can replace these guys [missing through international duty]," he said. "All the focus, once we finished Nashville [SC], went into preparing the group that will play—building chemistry and cohesion with the players who will now have to start or come on as substitutes."
"We used the break really well. The boys have been very professional and switched on. You have to manage smaller spaces. You have to be quicker on the ball. It's going to be a more intense game."
