Kenny Albert will succeed Sam Rosen as the New York Rangers' TV play-by-play announcer next season, alongside color commentator Joe Micheletti. Albert, the son of radio legend Marv Albert, has vast experience in sports broadcasting, having been the radio voice for the Rangers and calling NHL games on Turner Sports. This transition occurs as Rosen retires after 40 years with the Rangers, during which he called over 3,000 games and received several accolades. Alex Faust will serve as the backup commentator, also transitioning from the Rangers radio booth.
Kenny Albert will replace Sam Rosen as the TV voice of the New York Rangers, marking a significant change after Rosen's 40-year career with the team.
Rosen, who has been calling Rangers games since 1984, completed his farewell tour as he retires, having called over 3,000 games.
