'It doesn't matter': Hochul isn't phased by backlash from Brooklyn Democrats
"You look at one person's grief and beef, it doesn't matter,"
"This is a response to the political miscalculation on the part of the Governor's campaign and their failure to engage or consult Brooklyn Democratic leaders who represent New York's largest Democratic delegation,"
Governor Kathy Hochul said "You look at one person's grief and beef, it doesn't matter" in response to backlash after naming Adrienne Adams as her running mate. The Kings County Democratic Committee rescinded its endorsement, saying they were not consulted and calling the pick a political miscalculation and a failure to engage Brooklyn leaders who represent New York's largest Democratic delegation. Adrienne Adams is a former New York City Council speaker from Queens who ran for mayor last year. The ticket is the first all-women governor and lieutenant governor pairing in New York history.
