Getting to know NY Islanders Training Camp Invitee: Adam Beckman
"Just acquired by the New York Islanders in March 2025, Adam Beckman enters training camp as a depth forward who can find the back of the net. The 24-year-old Saskatoon native brings strong hockey sense and goal-scoring instincts to the mix, qualities that could help him crack the NHL lineup at some point within his tenure with the Islanders organization."
"The signing comes on the heels of Beckman serving a suspension stemming from a late-season AHL incident. During the game, Beckman made contact with a linesman, which the league ruled under Rule 40.3 as "deliberate physical force" without intent to injure. Beckman immediately showed concern for the official after the incident, and the AHL ultimately reduced his suspension from 10 games to eight. Having already served five, he'll miss the first three games of the upcoming season."

The Islanders signed him to a one-year, two-way $775,000 contract. He received an AHL suspension reduced to eight games for contact with a linesman and will miss the first three games after serving five.
