The New York Rangers hold the 70th overall pick in the 2025 NHL draft, a result of the Kaapo Kakko trade. Although they currently possess only one pick in the third round, the team is anticipated to potentially acquire more picks in that range. There are several promising players on the draft radar, particularly Ryker Lee from Michigan State University, who has showcased strong performance at the USHL level. With his aggressive and skillful playstyle, Lee's potential adds great value for the Rangers.
Despite not being the biggest guy, I would describe Lee's game as aggressive and exciting. He combines outstanding stickhandling with strong vision, allowing him to create chances that others might not be able to.
These are the types of players I believe the Rangers should be targeting; they're not the kind of big question marks plenty of players in the later rounds are, but instead are solid prospects.
