Nick Morabito, a 23-year-old outfield prospect ranked No. 11, is being called up by the Mets. He projects as a fourth outfielder but brings game-changing speed and solid defense across all three outfield positions. In 41 Triple-A games with Syracuse, he hit .253/.364/.390 with four home runs, 17 RBI, six doubles, and 14 stolen bases. From 2024 to 2025, he stole 108 bases across Single-A and Double-A. The Mets designated Austin Slater for assignment to create roster space. Rookie Carson Benge has produced strongly, and AJ Ewing has started his major league career with strong batting and baserunning. The Mets have won 11 of 16 entering a game against the Nationals.
"AJ Ewing, at just 21 years old, has dazzled in his first week in the majors and looks very much like New York's center fielder of the future. He batted .304 with a .988 OPS, one home run, one triple, four RBI, and two stolen bases across his first seven big-league games. The Mets' rookies are making their way to the forefront of the team's turnaround, which has seen them win 11 of their last 16 games entering Tuesday night's middle game against the Nationals down in D.C."
