Eric Adams to endorse Andrew Cuomo in NYC mayor's race today, sources say
"Why would I drop out of the race? You think Republicans are going to vote for Andrew Cuomo?"
"He belongs in jail. He's the reason there's a Zohran Mamdani, because if he had done a halfway decent job he would've won. He's an incumbent"
Eric Adams will endorse former Gov. Andrew Cuomo two days before early voting begins. Adams and Cuomo are coordinating a joint appearance expected Thursday. Adams attended the Knicks home opener with Cuomo after the final mayoral debate. Adams had been running for reelection until he ended his campaign in late September and exited the race. Adams has criticized Democratic candidate Zohran Mamdani and had been rumored to be considering support for Cuomo. Cuomo served as governor from 2013 until his 2021 resignation, lost the Democratic primary to Mamdani, and trails Mamdani in recent three-way polls. Curtis Sliwa vows to remain in the race and blames Adams for the current field dynamic.
