UConn will play St. John's for Big East Tournament title at MSG

Sixth-ranked UConn advanced to the Big East Tournament final by defeating 11th-seeded Georgetown 67-51 on Friday night at Madison Square Garden. Braylon Mullins led the Huskies with 21 points, scoring 15 in the first half, while Jayden Ross contributed eight points including crucial second-half three-pointers. UConn dominated throughout, leading by 11 at halftime and never trailing. The second-seeded Huskies will face regular-season champion St. John's in Saturday's title game after the 13th-ranked Red Storm defeated Seton Hall 78-68. UConn has not trailed in either tournament game this week. Without leading scorer KJ Lewis, who suffered a season-ending ankle injury, Georgetown proved overmatched despite playing competitively against UConn earlier in the season.
