After falling to the eighth pick in the lottery, the Brooklyn Nets are considering Duke's Kon Knueppel as a key pick for their rebuilding strategy. Various analysts project Knueppel as a candidate who may be available at that position. Despite his apparent one-dimensional playstyle, scouts believe he could be a valuable asset for the team, particularly noted by ex-76ers scout Mike VandeGarde who appreciates Knueppel's skills, even if he does not see him as a lead player for a championship team.
I really like Knueppel from Duke. He's more one-dimensional, and one-dimensional guys usually don't go top-six. They start coming into play about eight.
Knueppel to me isn't the best player on a playoff team, but I really like his game. And if I'm at eight, I'm looking at him.
