Anthony Edwards scored 18 points off the bench as the Minnesota Timberwolves defeated the San Antonio Spurs 104-102 in Game 1 of the Western Conference semifinals. Edwards returned from a knee injury that was expected to sideline him for weeks. He contributed significantly in the fourth quarter, scoring 11 of the Timberwolves' first 19 points. Despite a strong effort from the Spurs, including a near buzzer-beater, they could not secure the win. Julius Randle led Minnesota with 21 points, while Harper topped the Spurs with 18 points.
