"It appears the NY Islanders will be adding to their organizational depth, as Stefen Rosner of The Hockey News has reported the Islanders will be signing winger Pierrick Dubè after terminating his contract with SKA St. Petersburg of the KHL. Dubè, 25, was born in Lyon, France, making his way to North America, where he played for the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL under current Islanders head coach Patrick Roy."
"There, Dubè had the best season of his professional career, scoring 28 goals and adding 20 assists in 66 games. In that season, Dubè suffered a scary facial injury in Game 3 of the Conference Finals, taking a puck to the face off a teammate's slapshot. He'd return for Game 7 with his mouth wired shut, scoring a goal in the decisive game."
Pierrick Dubé, 25, was born in Lyon, France, and moved to North America to play for the Quebec Remparts of the QMJHL under Patrick Roy. Undrafted, he signed with the Trois-Rivieres Lions of the ECHL in 2022. After a 2023–24 season split between Trois-Rivieres and the Laval Rocket, Dubé earned a two-way contract with the Washington Capitals, made his NHL debut on Feb. 24, 2024, and scored 28 goals with 20 assists in 66 AHL games with the Hershey Bears. He then signed in the KHL with Traktor Chelyabinsk, recorded seven goals and seven assists, was moved to SKA St. Petersburg, terminated that contract after seven games, and is expected to join the New York Islanders organization, likely reporting to Bridgeport.
