Gilani posted on X lauding Hamas, insinuating Israeli involvement in 9/11 and the JFK assassination, and attacking police and Democratic officials. A campaign spokeswoman said the campaign was unaware, immediately terminated the contract, and said Lander has denounced Hamas and the October 7 attacks. Lander has also faced criticism for past investments in Israeli defense firms during his comptroller tenure.
