Mob of six assaults man with iron stick in early morning Brooklyn robbery

A 50-year-old man was attacked and robbed by six individuals during a pre-dawn ambush in Borough Park at approximately 4:30 a.m. The victim was surrounded outside 827 59th Street and beaten multiple times with an iron stick; the attackers took his wallet and about $800 in cash. The suspects fled in a dark-colored Mercedes-Benz SUV heading westbound on 59th Street toward Eighth Avenue. Emergency medical services transported the victim to Maimonides Medical Center for treatment of pain and swelling, and he was listed in stable condition. All six suspects remain at large and police urge anyone with information to come forward.
