The Capitals won three of four on their recent homestand and now begin a road trip in Long Island before heading to the West Coast for three games against California teams. The Caps must first face a rambunctious Islanders squad that sits just behind them in the tight Metropolitan Division standings and the Wild Card race. The Islanders will be without forward Kyle Palmieri, today and likely for the rest of the season, after he tore his ACL in the team's recent win over the Flyers. The Capitals aim to start the road swing with a big win to close out November.
