Jordan reworked his contract last year with incentive-based pay, earning $2 million in sack bonuses while recording 10.5 sacks. He stated he cannot accept another similar deal this year. Jordan has consistently expressed desire to finish his career in New Orleans, where he was drafted in 2011 and started 242 of 243 possible games, missing only one due to injury.
