Giants release fan favorite QB Tommy DeVito on NFL cutdown day: Report
"DeVito joined the Giants in 2023 as an undrafted free agent and went on to start six games as a rookie. The legend of "Tommy Cutlets" grew from there as he went 3-3 in those starts with eight touchdown passes and three interceptions on the season. DeVito made just two starts in 2024 as the Giants' QB3 behind Daniel Jones and Drew Lock. He went 0-2 and did not throw a touchdown across three total appearances."
"This offseason, DeVito was in a crowded QB room with three additions: free agent Russell Wilson, free agent Jameis Winston and first-round draft pick Jaxson Dart out of Ole Miss. DeVito was born in Livingston, New Jersey, around 20 miles away from the Giants' home in East Rutherford. He played high school football at Don Bosco Prep in Bergen County and committed to play college football at Syracuse. He was at Syracuse from 2017 to 2021 before spending his final collegiate season at Illinois."
