Cor'Dale Flott pays back confidence Giants have shown in him
""Daboll told me before I went into the game that I owed him a turnover," Flott recalled Thursday."
""So I told him right before I went out there on the field that I'm gonna get you a turnover.""
""I'm comfortable for sure," Flott said. "I just feel like now that I got the chance to continue to maximize those reps and that's what I've been doing.""
""Every week it's going to be a week-to-week evaluation," Bowen said Thursday. "We're going to need both those guys. We're going to need them both.""
Cor'Dale Flott intercepted a pass in the third quarter, marking his third career interception and first takeaway this season. Flott and Deonte Banks competed for the starting job opposite Paulson Adebo, with Flott starting every game while Banks rotated in on third downs. Banks has seen limited defensive snaps recently but found success as a kickoff returner, including a 46-yard return. Flott says he feels comfortable and is maximizing additional reps. Coaches Brian Daboll and Shane Bowen described playing-time decisions as week-to-week and emphasized needing both defensive backs for the game plan.
