Bills defensive tackle Oliver out against Jets
""best overall game he's played,""
""Ed had a big game," McDermott said. "You could feel his play out there, right. Whether it was the run game the pass game, couple good hits on the quarterback, couple big plays in the run game behind the line of scrimmage and then forcing the fumble. Like the entire team, he didn't quit.""
Ed Oliver will miss Sunday's game against the New York Jets with a left ankle injury after being stepped on during Wednesday's practice. He was wearing a boot in the locker room, used a medical scooter for longer distances, and did not participate in Thursday's walk-through. Oliver forced a fumble on Derrick Henry in Week 1 that helped fuel a comeback and recorded six tackles and a sack after totaling three sacks last season. Defensive coordinator Bobby Babich called it the "best overall game he's played." The Bills will need improved run defense without Oliver against a Jets rushing attack that gained 182 yards in Week 1.
