Vickie Paladino won re-election in District 19 with 57.8% of the vote, receiving over 24,000 of nearly 42,000 votes. The win secures a third consecutive term after initial election in 2021 and re-election in 2023. City Council terms returned to four years this cycle after 2021 and 2023 terms were limited to two years due to redistricting following the 2020 census. District 19 covers Auburndale, College Point, Whitestone, Bay Terrace, Beechhurst and parts of Flushing, Bayside and Douglaston. Paladino celebrated at her Bay Terrace campaign office with family, staff and supporters and vowed to fight for the district.
