""More quality Schlitt from Cam," he said."
""This game, started by Cam Shi- ... sh, sh ... Schlittler," Ruocco said, before chucking slightly and conceding the truth."
""Bound to happen one time," he admitted."
""It's just a tough last name," he said."
Cam Schlittler, a New York Yankees rookie, started Saturday's game against the Chicago White Sox and pitched six innings, allowing four hits, one walk and one earned run. Broadcaster Ryan Ruocco praised Schlittler early but later mispronounced his name during an 11th-inning recap, stumbling before correcting himself and saying the mistake was "bound to happen one time." Schlittler said he did not hear the flub and was not mad, noting teammates often call him "Schlitt" and that his last name is difficult to pronounce. YES announcer Michael Kay called the name "fraught with peril."
