Two arrested, two at large for robbery on uptown Manhattan train
"According to law enforcement sources, the brutal attack occurred on a northbound 6 train at the East 51 Street subway station on the Lexington Avenue line on Oct. 6 at around 11:40 p.m. Police said four men surrounded the 48-year-old victim on the moving train when an argument broke out. The war of words escalated to violence when the group of perps began punching and kicking the victim throughout his face and body until he became disoriented, police sources said."
"While the injured man was discombobulated from the horrific attack, the perps snagged $50 from him before fleeing the train station to parts unknown, before officers from the 17th Precinct and Transit District 4 arrived at the scene. The victim suffered swelling, bruising, and minor lacerations, authorities said. EMS responded and immediately brought him to NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in stable condition. So far, transit police arrested 23-year-old Eric Spanish and 18-year-old Shane Adams, both of the Bronx, for their involvement in the incident."
