On March 2 at 1 p.m., a suspect boarded a southbound A train and engaged in an argument with a 55-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman. The confrontation escalated when the suspect brandished a knife and slashed both victims. The woman sustained a slash wound to her back and was transported to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in stable condition. The man received a slash wound to his right index finger but refused medical attention. The suspect and an accompanying woman exited at Rockaway Boulevard station and were last seen on Liberty Avenue. Police from the 106th Precinct are investigating with no arrests made.
