The best places to watch the Yankees while out in New York City
Briefly

Yankee Stadium is a must-visit but may not fit every itinerary. Many attractions in New York, like the Bronx Zoo or Broadway shows, compete for attention. However, finding a venue to catch a Yankees game is attainable no matter your plans. Popular nearby bars include Billy's, a spacious lounge-like venue, and Stan's, a smaller, more intimate sports bar. They offer great options for pre-game drinks or post-game celebrations. For those unable to attend a game, exploring more of the city is recommended.
While New York does not have the equivalent of Philadelphia's Xfinity Live, a sports bar complex near Citizens Bank Park, there is no shortage of places to catch the Yankees near the Stadium.
Billy's is much larger and more spread out, giving it a more club/lounge vibe, while Stan's is smaller and more intimate - a more traditional sports bar.
With the exception of postseason games, where the prices to get into the Stadium are exorbitant, the bars on 161st Street should be a place to grab some food or a drink before heading into the game.
Now, if you can't get tickets, or if the Yankees are on the road, you'd be in much better shape enjoying the other sights of New York City.
