Staten Island Ferry will temporarily stop service Friday night

The Staten Island Ferry will not operate for two and a half hours on Friday night due to the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks show. Service will temporarily stop at both the St. George and Whitehall terminals after 7:30 p.m. Ferry operations will resume at 10:15 p.m. from Whitehall and 10 p.m. from St. George. On Friday, the ferry will run a weekend schedule with service every 30 minutes from midnight to 4 p.m. and every 20 minutes from 4 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Staten Island Ferry will not run for two and a half hours on Friday night to allow for the Macy's 4th of July Fireworks show.
After 7:30 p.m. on Friday, there will be a temporary suspension of service at both the St. George and Whitehall terminals due to the fireworks near the Brooklyn Bridge.
Service will be provided every 30 minutes from midnight through 4 p.m. because of the Fourth of July holiday.
Ferry service will then run every 20 minutes from 4 through 7:30 p.m.
