The chosen tree is a 75-foot, approximately 75-year-old Norway spruce donated by the Russ family of East Greenbush, New York, transported 130 miles to Manhattan. After the display ends in mid-January, the tree lumber will be donated to Habitat for Humanity for home construction. Decorations include 50,000 LED lights and a Swarovski star weighing 900 pounds with a nine-foot diameter, 70 spikes, and more than three million crystals. Reba McEntire will host and perform alongside other guest artists.
