Approximately 4,000 $25 food vouchers were distributed to Bronx residents during a Thanksgiving giveaway at Yankee Stadium. The vouchers can be redeemed at participating Bronx-based C-Town and Bravo supermarkets to help local families prepare Thanksgiving meals. Brian Smith, senior vice president of the New York Yankees, said the organization prioritizes working with neighbors, networks and community-based partners to make a difference. Christopher Guzman, advertising director for Krasdale Foods, described the event as a blessing and said the company aims to relieve stress and add to families’ dinner plates. A local resident said the voucher demonstrated community care and provided needed support.
