Prosecutors allege in October a 60-year-old trespass suspect was handcuffed, berated, slammed against a patrol car twice and slapped, then treated at a hospital and released. The NYC Civilian Complaint Review Board lists more than 20 allegations against McPhatter. McPhatter was released without bail and faces a March 25, 2026 court date; the Brooklyn District Attorney said the office will seek accountability.
