
"Police have released images in a hit-and-run in Sheepshead Bay that left a 76-year-old woman fighting for her life. It happened last Tuesday around 9:30 a.m. at the intersection of Ocean Avenue and Avenue U. Investigators say the woman was walking through the crosswalk when she was struck by a white box truck. The driver never stopped, continuing south on Ocean Avenue."
"The NYPD is now sharing two photos with the public. One shows the truck turning at the intersection. The other shows a man wearing a reflective safety shirt and carrying a traffic cone. Detectives say they want to talk with him as part of their investigation. The woman was rushed to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn with serious injuries to her face, neck, back and legs. She remains in critical condition."
A 76-year-old woman was struck while walking through the crosswalk at Ocean Avenue and Avenue U in Sheepshead Bay around 9:30 a.m. last Tuesday. A white box truck hit the woman and continued south on Ocean Avenue without stopping. The NYPD released two photos showing the truck turning at the intersection and a man wearing a reflective safety shirt carrying a traffic cone; detectives want to speak with him. The victim was taken to NYU Langone Hospital-Brooklyn with serious facial, neck, back and leg injuries and remains in critical condition. The intersection has recorded six injuries this year.
