"According to the NYPD, six officers from the 67th Precinct arrived around 9:09 a.m. after a 27-year-old woman called 911 and said a man she knew was harassing her at her door. She also told officers she was in the process of obtaining a restraining order against him. Police said they approached the 28-year-old man as he was leaving the building. He fled on foot and officers pursued him to East 86th Street and Coventry Road, authorities said."
"According to police, the man was carrying a gun and officers repeatedly ordered him to drop it. The NYPD said the man did not comply and was shot once in the chest. Officers placed him in handcuffs, rendered aid and transported him to Kings County Hospital in a patrol car, where he was later pronounced dead. Police said they recovered a loaded revolver at the scene."
