NYC's highest observation deck will transform into a goth floral wonderland for Halloween this year
"From now through November 3, the city's highest observation deck will be adorned with floor-to-ceiling Gothic floral installations designed by Fleurs de Villes, the global outfit renowned for its extravagant flower shows. The result is a Halloween spectacle that trades pumpkins for petals, all 1,131 feet in the air. The floral takeover isn't just for snapping envy-inducing selfies (though, yes, it's perfect for that). Select nights and Sundays will bring the displays to life with an eclectic roster of performance artists."
"The lineup ranges from balloon couture by Molly Balloons and stilt acts by Allegra Meshuggah to illusionist Justin Sight and the avant-garde clown troupe Fou York. On three Sunday afternoons-October 5, 19 and 26-families can catch free-spirited performances from 11am to 2pm. Evening shows on October 7, 21 and 28 will shift the vibe into something a little more spectral, running from 6pm to 9pm."
"Bars curated by Tao Group will keep things seasonally spirited with themed cocktails like the Pumpkin Patch Margarita, Apple Cider Sangria and a Maple Old Fashioned. For those really leaning into the vibe, the "Black Shadow" cocktail will only be available during the Garden of Shadows run. Rising glass walls and a transparent floor make Edge itself a thrill, but add a gothic bouquet and some live performance art and you've got a very New York kind of Halloween."
Edge at Hudson Yards is hosting a Garden of Shadows through November 3, featuring floor-to-ceiling Gothic floral installations by Fleurs de Villes. The installation replaces traditional Halloween motifs with dramatic petal-based arrangements 1,131 feet above ground. Select nights and Sundays include live performances such as balloon couture, stilt acts, illusionists and avant-garde clowns, with family-friendly Sunday afternoon shows and spectral evening performances on specified October dates. Bars curated by Tao Group serve seasonal cocktails including a limited Black Shadow drink. The deck also extends Candlelight Concerts by Fever with a Halloween-inspired, candlelit string-music edition amid the floral displays.
