Pei Chung, 34, is accused of repeatedly dining and dashing at multiple Brooklyn restaurants and is being held on Rikers Island. Her attorney, Henry Dechalus, requested a 730 mental health examination, asserting she does not understand the proceedings and has difficulty communicating with counsel. Judge Hemalee Patel granted the evaluation and scheduled a Dec. 17 court date. Restaurant workers reported at least ten police calls and alleged Chung posed as a food influencer while wearing expensive designer items, presenting declined credit cards, and offering social media posts instead of paying high-priced bills.
