"Our work at RPA ultimately impacts how people live: how they get to work, find a home, and feel secure about the future of their communities. Jamie understands that deeply. His leadership and commitment to public service will strengthen our ability to move bold ideas into action."
"Rubin who is also chief investment officer of Aligned Climate Capital will lead the century-old civic group, which conducts research and develops policies aimed at improving the New York Metropolitan area for the millions of New Yorkers who live here, for a three-year term."
Jamie Rubin, a veteran of local government and business, has been unanimously elected as the new board chair of the Regional Plan Association (RPA), a century-old civic organization focused on research and policy development for the New York Metropolitan area. Rubin currently chairs the New York City Housing Authority and serves as chief investment officer of Aligned Climate Capital. He will lead RPA for a three-year term, bringing extensive experience from both public and private sectors. His background includes roles under former Governor Andrew Cuomo, including leadership of the Governor's Office of Storm Recovery and commissioner of New York State Homes and Community Renewal. Rubin also served as CEO of infrastructure investment firm Meridiam NA. RPA's president emphasized that Rubin's cross-sector experience will strengthen the organization's ability to address critical regional challenges and translate ambitious ideas into actionable solutions.
