New Japanese Cafe With Matcha Gelato Flights Opens in the West Village
"A new matcha gelato shop landed in Manhattan this month, focusing on the varying intensities of the Japanese green tea in frozen sweet form. Aokō Matcha opened in the West Village at 275 Bleecker Street, near Jones Street, as of Thursday, August 21. Founder and owner Isabella Pang's Japanese cafe offers what it calls a "five-shade tasting experience" of its matcha gelatos."
"It's official: Texas-based company McGuire Moorman Lambert Hospitality (MML) has officially acquired Lower East Side hotel Nine Orchard - which includes its on-site restaurants Corner Bar, Swan Room, and Blue Room, as confirmed by Emily Sundburg's Substack Feed Me last week. So this means that mega-British American chef April Bloomfield will have a hand in the hotel's food services, restaurants, and bar, including Corner Bar and Swan Room. The chef joined the Austin company earlier this year as its overall executive chef."
