New York City’s 4th of July fireworks will be held on the East River in 2025, returning after a year at the West Side. The fireworks are scheduled to start at 9:15 p.m., lasting for approximately 30 minutes. Ticketed viewing areas open from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with several best viewing locations identified along the FDR Drive. A separate fireworks display at Coney Island Beach is planned for earlier that evening, with additional displays scheduled in Breezy Point, Queens.
The Macy's 4th of July Fireworks are scheduled to start around 9:15 p.m. on Friday, July 4, with a display lasting about 30 minutes.
The fireworks will launch from the Brooklyn Bridge and four barges in the East River, visible from locations with unobstructed views of the sky.
