Mamdani announced no school for kids, with no "remote" and "no online learning." He made the announcement in a video message where the 34-year-old Mayor placed a call to a child, who was excited to hear she wouldn't have to do any learning tomorrow."
"Forecasters said 1 to 2 feet (approximately 30 to 61 centimeters) of snow could blanket numerous regions as blizzard warnings went into effect for New York City, Long Island, southern Connecticut and coastal areas in New Jersey and Delaware. Potential flooding was also flagged for portions of New York and New Jersey, according to the weather service."

Many workplaces offered employees the option to work from home as the snowstorm threatened major impacts at the start of the work week.
