Free kids' concerts, whiskey tastings and nine other ways to celebrate the holidays in Brooklyn this year
"The pressure to do all the holiday things is in full force this year. Even now, I am in at least three different group chats regarding Christmas light sightings , price checking seats for a Rockettes show and finding the best holiday bar for a bit of cheer. If you, too, are feeling overwhelmed by it all, we've just rounded up a festive lineup of events, from family-friendly ones to whiskey tastings. Even better? It is all going down in one place."
"From now until Friday, December 26, Spread Love Brooklyn is hosting a clothing drive at Time Out Market New York, Dumbo. Guests can drop off their new or gently used winter coats and accessories at designated drop boxes located on the Market's first and fifth floors. Think men's, women's and children's jackets (puffy, no dress coats), hats, gloves, mittens and scarves."
Time Out Market New York in Dumbo transforms into a holiday hub with 19 food vendors, three bars, hands-on classes, pop-up shopping and a lineup of seasonal events. The Market offers doughnut-decorating classes, whiskey tastings, family-friendly activities and multiple ways to celebrate across the venue. A Winter Clothing Drive runs through December 26, collecting new or gently used winter coats and accessories for local distribution to community members in need. FAD Market operates December 1–21 at Empire Stores with over 35 independent vendors selling jewelry, apparel and home decor from 11am–6pm daily.
