Governor Kathy Hochul announced that Chobani will construct the largest natural food manufacturing facility in U.S. history, a $1.2 billion investment in Rome, New York. The 1.4 million-square-foot plant, located in the Griffiss Business and Technology Park, will nearly double Chobani’s workforce in New York and produce over one billion pounds of dairy annually. Supported by $73 million in state tax incentives, this project aims to create job opportunities, particularly for underserved communities, while strengthening the local dairy farming industry.
Chobani's expansion is a generational investment for Upstate New York, rebuilding manufacturing in the Mohawk Valley and creating real opportunity for working families.
New York is where our story began, and it's where we'll keep growing; we're building more than a plant - we're building a future with our neighbors in Rome.
