NYPD officers from the Quality of Life Team saved two Coney Island brothers and their dog during a home fire. Body camera footage shows their rapid response as they jumped a fence to reach the burning house on West 36th Street. The boys' mother expressed gratitude, emphasizing the bravery of the police and fire department. Thankfully, there were no injuries reported. The cause of the fire remains unknown, but the family feels fortunate for their safety and the return of their dog, Sherlock.
The police and the fire department were so brave, and came here so fast, it could have been so much worse, said the boys' mother Susan Krupp, who is renting the home.
I'm very blessed. Material stuff I can replace, I can't replace my family, said Susan Krupp, the boys' mother.
