""When I won in 2022, I tattooed just the date, [so] I had to do something [different],""
""Probably I'm going to do two things, because I had a bet at the beginning of the tournament. The Brooklyn Bridge, I think. And obviously the Statue of Liberty. I'm gonna do both, and the date. This one is special, so I have to get it twice.""
Carlos Alcaraz plans tattoos of the Brooklyn Bridge, the Statue of Liberty, and the date to mark his 2025 U.S. Open win. He uses city-specific tattoos to commemorate each Grand Slam victory. For the 2022 U.S. Open he tattooed only the date, so he intends a different, more elaborate commemoration for 2025. The decision to get two images also reflects a bet made at the start of the tournament. The 2025 victory represents his second U.S. Open title and a particularly special achievement for which he wants distinct ink.
