"Powerhouse Arts, a returning OHNY location, is a not-for-profit arts organization housed inside the former Brooklyn Rapid Transit Power Station in Gowanus. Designed by Herzog & de Meuron in collaboration with PBDW Architects, the historic power plant now serves as a multidisciplinary art center with multi-use facilities and fabrication workshops for ceramics, large metals, print, public art, and textiles. This year during OHNY Weekend,"
Open House New York Weekend runs October 18–20 and opens hundreds of sites across all five boroughs for tours, activities, and behind-the-scenes access. Over 270 sites will participate, including newly built projects, historic locations, and typically off-limits spaces. Most participating sites are Open Access and can be visited without a ticket, though lines are possible at popular destinations. A Weekend Passport offers expedited entry and Untapped New York is giving one Passport away to an Insider. Some OHNY locations require tickets; most cost $6 and go on sale October 8 at 11am ET via Eventbrite.
