"Police said that following a public appeal for help identifying the suspect, two more people were attacked in a similar style - approached from behind and slashed across the face. The first occurred around 9:40 p.m. Saturday, near Foster and New York Avenues, roughly a mile and a half from the Church Avenue station. The second took place about 7 a.m. Sunday, near Newkirk and New York Avenues, just a block away."
A 37-year-old rider was slashed on the left side of his face around 6:30 a.m. Saturday aboard a northbound Q train near Church Avenue. The attacker slashed the victim as the train neared Cortelyou Road and then fled on foot. Responding officers took the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Police released a photo of a male suspect described as dark-complexioned, medium build, about 6 feet tall, wearing a black jacket and beige hooded sweatshirt, black shorts, a black face mask, and carrying a black-and-gray bag. Two similar slashing incidents occurred nearby later Saturday night and early Sunday; both victims were hospitalized in stable condition and no arrests have been made.
