"A pizza deliveryman on a bicycle was clinging to life Saturday after he collided with a Lexus at a Brooklyn corner and was thrown into the middle of the street, police and witnesses said. The 38-year-old bicyclist was crossing E. 56th St. at Linden Blvd. in East Flatbush at around 11:45 p.m. Friday when he collided with the Lexus SUV, cops said."
""The guy almost ended up in the middle of the street next to a car," said one witness, who would only identify himself as Juan. "There was blood coming from his mouth. I tried to talk to him, but he was not responding. He tried to move but, after a while, he was not moving anymore. Just bleeding from the mouth." EMS rushed the victim to Kings County Hospital, where he remained in critical condition Saturday."
A pizza deliveryman on a bicycle collided with a Lexus SUV while crossing E. 56th St. at Linden Blvd. in East Flatbush around 11:45 p.m. Friday. The 38-year-old bicyclist was thrown into the middle of the street and found sprawled on the asphalt after witnesses heard tires screeching and a loud crash. A witness named Juan described visible bleeding from the victim's mouth and attempts to rouse him. EMS transported the bicyclist to Kings County Hospital in critical condition. The Lexus driver, also 38, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital. No arrests were made and the crash remains under investigation; the bicycle, the Lexus and a warming bag with two green pizza boxes remained at the scene.
