FDNY responders extricated the victims and EMS transported the elderly man to New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital and the teenager to Northwell Long Island Jewish Medical Center. Both patients were listed in stable condition but required surgery for serious injuries. The driver, 40-year-old Luis Saula Quindi, was arrested, found to be driving with a suspended license, arraigned on felony counts including aggravated vehicular assault and driving while intoxicated, and registered a .25% blood alcohol content.
