A secret, underground game room is hiding under Times Square
The historic Brill Building at Broadway and 49th Street now houses two interactive attractions in its lower levels: The Escape Game and Great Big Game Show. The Escape Game offers six multi-room adventures, including New York debuts like Cosmic Crisis, Legend of the Yeti and Ruins: Forbidden Treasure, with each experience lasting about an hour and built for groups. Great Big Game Show operates as a live, TV-style competition with a host, lights and mini-games that mix trivia, strategy and physical challenges in rotating formats. Visitors enter at 1619 Broadway and follow signs downstairs to reach cinematic sets and buzzer-driven energy below Times Square.
"Times Square's newest attraction isn't flashing on a billboard or blasting through a speaker tower. It's hiding in plain sight-tucked inside the historic Brill Building at Broadway and 49th Street-and it just turned one of the city's most famous corners into a full-blown playground for grown-ups. Behind the doors of the legendary building where Carole King, Burt Bacharach and Paul Simon once made musical history, two interactive experiences have quietly taken over the lower levels: The Escape Game and Great Big Game Show."
"The Escape Game is the more immersive of the two, with six multi-room adventures that drop you into everything from a high-stakes art heist to a frozen expedition in Legend of the Yeti. Three of the experiences (Cosmic Crisis, Legend of the Yeti and Ruins: Forbidden Treasure) are making their New York debut here, meaning even seasoned escape-room pros will find something new. Each game runs about an hour and is built for groups."
