Robert Holden will vacate the seat due to term limits. Wong celebrated at a modest Maspeth headquarters near Vaichunas' larger watch party. Wong thanked his wife Kim, roughly 600 individual donors, his canvassers and Holden for encouraging his 2024 candidacy. Campaign manager Bernard Chow credited a disciplined ground game and door-to-door outreach that reached every block at least once despite a smaller budget. The victory followed outreach to over 10,000 voters and visible grassroots organizing.
