Potential A.J. Brown Patriots-Eagles trade reportedly has 'framework in place'

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reports a trade framework is in place for a deal early next week that would make Brown a Patriot, with only remaining details. The expected finalization date is on or after Monday, June 1, because pre-June 1 would cost Philadelphia a $43.5 million dead cap hit, while a post-June 1 deal limits the hit to $16 million. The required New England assets remain unclear, despite Philadelphia seeking a first-round pick and more. Ian Rapoport counters that the Patriots are not willing to part with a first-rounder and that the sides are not particularly close.
