The New England Patriots focused on upgrading their edge rusher and offensive line during the legal tampering window. They moved on from defensive ends K'Lavon Chaisson and Anfernee Jennings while adding versatile defensive lineman Dre'Mont Jones. On offense, the Patriots traded Garrett Bradbury to Chicago and shifted Jared Wilson to center, then signed former Jets guard Alijah Vera-Tucker to fill the left guard position. Vera-Tucker, the No. 14 overall pick in 2020, carries injury concerns including two triceps tears and a torn Achilles tendon that caused him to miss the entire 2025 season. Despite missing significant time and playing only 43 games in four years, veteran right tackle Morgan Moses provided strong endorsement of Vera-Tucker's abilities and character.
