Cole Strange, drafted as the 29th overall pick in 2022, started his career with the New England Patriots as a left guard. However, injuries and coaching changes have led to a challenging situation as he approaches the final year of his contract in 2025. Despite the public pressure of not meeting expectations, Strange remains focused on improving his skills and overcoming injuries. After a major knee injury in December 2023, Strange emphasizes the importance of getting back into rhythm and regaining confidence on the field.
"All I can really do is control what I can control, and pray to God I don't have any more injuries," Strange told reporters following Monday's OTA session at Gillette Stadium.
"It was good just to get back in some sort of rhythm playing football," he explained. "December '23 pretty much to November, December of '24, no football for me. Whenever you hadn't done something for a year, you just get rusty."
