Amid setbacks and tragedy, K'Lavon Chaisson's road has led him to Super Bowl LX
"I think K'Lavon - and those who really know where he's come from - this is probably the least amount of adversity he's ever had to come through, personally."
"His dad was a hell of a player down here in the Houston area, and then at Baylor. So we knew of him when he came over,"
"I don't think he's any stranger to understanding how to kind of grab yourself by the bootstraps and get yourself right."
Jon Kay first saw K'Lavon Chaisson as a ninth-grader at North Shore Senior High School in Houston, where Chaisson displayed explosive 0-to-60 acceleration and an ability to slip past offensive linemen. Chaisson carried local recognition due to his father’s success in the Houston area and at Baylor. Chaisson developed powerful swim moves and delivered thumping hits while cultivating an inner drive forged through repeated adversity. A former first-round pick once considered a potential bust, Chaisson matured into a heat-seeking force on New England’s defense in 2025.
